Sound is mostly percieved unconsciously. It serves as a comment on the action, it reinforces atmosphere,
it can lead the audience up the garden path or wrap it in a sense of safety. Sound design often serves as a hugely subtle creative tool in feature films, documentaries and commercials.
The acoustc dimension determines the atmosphere of a movie to a large degree. I’ll employ the sound-track to evoke emotional reactions and take responsability for the acoustc perception of the movie and will take decisive creative steps to this end. The challenge consists of creating an auditory
experience in a visual context, which is conceptually, dramatically and acoustically convincing.
